Power Gaming have today announced an interesting addition to their Counter Strike: Source lineup.
After losing StingeR to TCM Gaming a few weeks ago, Power were on the lookout for a new 5th and almost at the same time Dignitas announced the removal of their CS:S squad and that was almost too good to be true as it left several top players without a team.
RattlesnK, former member of the Birmingham Salvo team that won 500,000$ playing in the CGS, has been regarded as one of the world`s finest for several years now as he continued to be the strongest player in all the Dignitas`s lineups lately. Today it has finally become official that he has parted ways with his long-time home and teamed up with a UK rival team, Power Gaming. There he will take the spot of the main AWPer and will replace StingeR, who recently left Power to form a new team under TCM Gaming.
Here is what RattlesnK had to say regarding the move:
Considering the wide spread rumours around why dignitas actually folded I’ll just clear that up by saying a number of our players felt they lacked the motivation and desire to continue practicing and competing. I think it mainly boiled down to individuals wanting to focus their attention on different activities away from CS towards different games or life choices which is understandable. Moving on from that I decided the best step for me as a player would involve moving away from my long term home within dignitas and join up with the guys in Power Gaming. At the end of the day I felt rebuilding a team in dignitas for the hundredth time was going to put too much strain on my university commitments and as such by joining up with Power I would move into a stable team with great prospects for the future. I’ve obviously played with Wil and Dan in dignitas before and during CGS I spent time with George and Henry so it hopefully won’t take long for us to gel and hit the expectations we’ve laid down for ourselves.
The new Power.CSS is:
Henry "HenryG" Greer
George "hudzG" Hoskins
Sam "RattlesnK" Gawn
Dan "Re1ease" Mullan
James "wilzOOO" Wilson
We wish them the best of luck.
