The Counter Strike 1.6 team of H2k was full of stars such as SpawN and Tentpole but problems started for them when GuX left them for Sk and was soon followed by FYRR73, who joined MYM and now due to these problems H2k has released the team with SpawN retiring from competitive gaming once more.
This ofcourse means that Tentpole and Snajdan are now free agents and it will be interesting to see where they will go. Meanwhile H2k have wasted no time as they announced who their new CS 1.6 lineup is just hours after removing their old one. Joining them is the now former Begrip Gaming squad, which has proved to be a real contender for the top spots lately. H2k also announced that SpawN is not completely leaving the organisation just yet and will now act as the CS 1.6 coach.
Here is the statement from SpawN:
"Hello guys! I am here with another update… as you know, the past few months in H2k has been very turbulent. I tried to make a comeback to professional gaming because of my love to the game, but I must admit that I can’t keep up with both work and gaming at a professional level, so I have made the decision to let the younger generation take over – the competition is very good! I have had a great time in H2k and really appreciate the chance to play at a top level again, but I have realized that I am getting old and therefore I will focus my energy on other activities that can benefit eSports, such as using my professional experience and passion for the game to develop the ideal gear for professional gaming."
And here is the statement from BARBARR:
"Today is a bitter sweet day, but mostly a sweet day. It`s with regret and sorrow we leave our home in Begrip and It`s with a big smile we move in to our new home; H2k.
We are glad that we have gotten the opportunity to play for one of the biggest eSport organisation out there. Ever since we start playing together (me, pronax, xizt, pop and zyppe) this is pretty much all we have aimed for, to represent a strong and professional organisation.
We join H2k with high expectations and we will work hard to achieve them, and with big help from our new coach SpawN together with our manager t00f
At last I just want to thank Individ for all the work he have done for us and we will really miss him and also a big thanks to all of our new sponsors; ZOWIE GEAR, Thermaltake, Spam and i3D.net."
The new H2k.CS lineup is:
Andre "BARBARR" Möller
Danny "pop" Oldenburg
Markus "pronax" Wallstenen
Richard "Xizt" Landström
Samuel "Zyppe" Martinsson
We wish them the best of luck.
